I can see, from your comments that you are running Windows 10 (or possibly Windows 7) and trying to use mpv.
First, the mpv website states that the package is not available for Windows 10.
Second, the available version is only for macOS and Linux. And on Windows it only has a console-style interface that only works on Windows.
MacOS and Linux version available:
Third, mpv is not a "traditional" player, but is designed to be "small, fast, and efficient", and thus it doesn't have a lot of features. If you need something more advanced, there are a number of other players, such as vlc.
Here’s What Climate Change Could Mean for Your Financial Plans
Floods, fires and rising seas mean a shift in the climate, as well as different ways to plan for those changes.
Scientists say that climate change poses a significant risk to public and private financial plans in several ways, according to the National Research Council. They include:
More property damage from a rise in sea levels and increasing risk of storm surge flooding.
Increasing threat of forest fires, which could damage forests and cause fires to move to higher elevations.
Higher flood risk, increasing risk of heavy precipitation, which could overwhelm drainage systems and cause problems for wastewater and stormwater management.
Rising flood risks could change the way that insurance companies set rates and how land is used.
Not only that, some of the worst risks could affect the places where most people live. The National Research Council says that areas with a higher percentage of “low-risk” properties, with better building codes and “fault-free” infrastructure, could have less flood risk than other areas.
“Focusing on climate change, rather than solely on sea level rise, is critically important for making the best decisions,” said Christopher Field, who led the new report. “Climate change is one of the most pressing issues of our time.”
